Firefox 3 brings Ugliness to the Mac »

Ugliness indeed. I’ve always been a Safari (+ Stand) user and haven’t been given a compelling reason to switch now. Everything else just feels out of place.

I agree. I’m disappointed by Firefox 3’s “improved” OS X interface. It’s still not using native controls — it just tries even harder to fake them (and fails even harder).

And I don’t know what they were thinking with the “awesome bar”. It’s confusing at best. So far, it has only hindered me. It’s a shame that so many programmers think that shoving more unnecessary interface elements into something is a “feature”.

My main complaint is the top of my bookmarks bar looks like the top of a window, so then the whole address bar
